Instructions for use for the Bookmarks Backuper browser extension version 0.2.1.1.

Installation and preparation

To install the Bookmarks Backuper browser extension

1. Open the bookmarksbackuper.com website.
2. Click the "Install from Chrome store" link.
3. The Chrome Web Store page should open.
4. Click "Add to Chrome".
5. A browser dialog should appear.
6. Confirm access to: "Read and change your bookmarks".

To pin the Bookmarks Backuper browser extension to the browser toolbar

1. Click "Extensions" (the puzzle piece icon) in the browser toolbar.
2. A popup with a list of extensions should open.
3. Click "Pin" in the "Bookmarks Backuper" actions group.
4. The extension icon should appear in the browser toolbar.

Backup creation

For one-way sync of bookmarks to your Google Drive with the Bookmarks Backuper browser extension

1. Click the extension icon in the browser toolbar.
2. The extension popup should appear.
3. Click the "Sign In with Google Account" link.
4. The Google authorization page should be displayed.
5. Choose an account and confirm access to: "See, edit, create, and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app".
6. The backup process should start.
7. Click the "Open Google Drive" link.
8. A Google Sheets spreadsheet should open with the contents of your browser profile bookmarks.

For one-way sync of bookmarks to your Dropbox with the Bookmarks Backuper browser extension

1. Click the extension icon in the browser toolbar.
2. The extension popup should appear.
3. Click the "Sign In with Dropbox Account" link.
4. The Dropbox authorization page should be displayed.
5. Choose an account and confirm access to:
   • "Edit content of your Dropbox files and folders and view and edit information about your Dropbox files and folders"
   • "View your Dropbox sharing settings and collaborators"
6. The backup process should start.
7. Click the "Open Dropbox" link.
8. A Dropbox Paper document should open with the contents of your browser profile bookmarks.
